On November 11th, 11.11.11, across the planet, documentary filmmakers, students, and other inspired citizens will record the human experience over a 24-hour period and contribute their voice to the second annual global day of media creation called One Day on Earth. Together, we will create a shared archive and a film.
Founded in 2008, One Day on Earth's first media creation event occurred on 10.10.10. The collaboration was the first ever simultaneous filming event occuring in every country of the world. It created a unique geo-tagged video archive as well as an upcoming feature film.

Today we participated in two beautiful collaborative world projects: make videos of precious moments of our day of 11.11.11 and make music together with musicians from all over the world for a 'Global Collaboration Song'.
For my part I recorded overtone singing and didgeridoo for a 'Soulful' track. |
We went to Lake Lugano and meditated and sang Om 11x11 times, starting the meditation at 11.11. Many of the group had already taken part in 'Med Mob's', moments of meditation and singing together in public places.
Through Facebook and email, people came together that were interested in meditation and silence, or looking to meet other people of the same opinion: let's bring more calm into our busy lives, wherever we are! Our meditation meeting at Lake Lugano was filmed by TeleTicino News Channel as well, and will be aired tonight! Yes! And that meditation becomes a normal thing, built-into dayly life! - Igor |
