Overtone World Music
Igor's Feeling Sound concerts are a mixture of vocal harmonics, improvisations and original compositions inspired by various musical traditions, ranging from the Tuvans of Mongolia to Tibetan monks, Native American and Australian Aboriginal chant, to soul, blues and Sufi mantra.
'Overtone world music' touches on the healing qualities of sound and its harmonics, what Pir Viliyat Khan called the 'Music of the Spheres' |
His vocal repertoire grows around vocal harmonics, accompanying himself with Mandola, Guitalele, Cümbüs, Hang and other forms of percussion, Didgeridoo and Shruti Box, meanwhile seriously trying to tickle his audience into singing with him.
Listening to Igor sing one realizes that the voice can become like a Jacob's ladder, bringing listener and singer to higher and more subtle frequencies. A voice can create a benevolent space, an oasis where people can regenerate, feel sound enter profoundly into their being and be well. |

Always looking for new sounds with which to combine overtone singing, Igor performed with many international musicians.
In Sardinia Igor sang his harmonics with the Tenores di Bitti, at the Bali Spirit Festival he met on stage with Hugjiltu of the Band Ajinai from China, and befriended world class percussionist Pepe Danza and Israeli singer-songwriter Noam Blatt. At the Sound & Silence festival in Corfu there are other fantastic meetings with musicians like Luis Paniagua, Pepe Danza, Estas Tonne, Mirabai Ceiba, Carrie Tree, Mitsch Kohn, Netanel Goldberg... |

A wonderful example of fusion of two beautiful musical worlds is 'Singing for Water', with italian bass and contrabass player Marco Conti.
With 'Equilibrium'' a duet with Krisztina Nemeth, two singers who present healing with sound as their main purpose, medianic opera singer meets with vocal harmonics and improvised voices by Igor. |
